@hacks4pancakes it's a question between integrity & conscious vs. capitalism & big money ... Always

@hacks4pancakes I occasionally wonder how much more successful I’d have been if I didn’t have a conscience because sociopaths of a certain demographic seem to do so well

@jamie @hacks4pancakes even if I didn’t have a conscience I’d still have ADHD. At least with the layer of ethics I can feel good about some of the deliberate choices I made.

@hacks4pancakes and we thank you for it.

@hacks4pancakes Every now and then I remember that I've literally robbed banks without them noticing and shut down power plants. I just did it in a beneficial context.
Morality and ethics are not weaknesses to be overcome, they're a quality and goal to be celebrated. I think something about the last decade has caused a lot of people to lose sight of that.
@ra6bit @hacks4pancakes yeah if I lacked empathy and morality I could be very well to do. Lot harder making money when you care about people and the work. Especially when you can see and care about stuff no one else even seems to comprehend when you draw pictures.

@hacks4pancakes I know exactly why I’m not rich. My brain is wired such that it goes into fight or flight when corporate ideology breaks my personal ethics. Which is why I typically get angry and vocal first, and then I quit after my stress level hits the roof — usually right before bonuses are paid out because my timing is the worst.
