As a human rights lawyer representing survivors of domestic and sexual violence for 15+ years, I've learned a hard truth.

@maggiejk @QasimRashid What's 4B? Some kind of pencil?
@VerenaRupp @QasimRashid lol no it’s a Korean thing where women have decided not to date, marry, have sex with, or have babies with men. The Korean words for those things start with B, so the 4 Bs.
It’s a women’s strike and the men think it’s to teach them how to act right and that it “won’t work” but in reality they’re not trying to change men, they’re just done with them.
A black woman in NY started a West 4B movement but that seems to be more of an anti trans thing. They have this whole “not our crimes” thing where they claim trans women commit crimes that the government counts as “women’s crimes” and they get really upset trans women aren’t put in men’s prisons in California so I think West 4B isn’t 4B at all, it’s just using the movement to be cruel and gross.
But the Korean women are legit.

@QasimRashid Ok, I need to know what to with this information.
I am a male and have never hurt a woman.
Do you want me to self quarantine for the rest of my life in order to make women feel safe?@johnrohde Yes, please.
-
@Timeless con....grats on posting a screenshotted slop summary that has nothing to do with the parent post. I'm owned. owie ouchie.

Do you want me to self quarantine for the rest of my life in order to make women feel safe?- “you do not get a cookie for not being a rapist“
- in real life this single response would get you kicked out of all friend groups I know, and explicitly labelled as a dangerous toxic dick.
Oh, and blocked right here right now, of course.

@YKantRachelRead This response is

Thanks!!!

@johan_andersson @QasimRashid oh no, whatever shall we do without men like you around, surely women everywhere shall mourn the loss of someone who sees the literal epidemic of unreported sexual assaults among women and goes "oh but maybe it's us who shouldn't feel safe around you"

These dudes are literally crawling out from everywhere to make damn sure we all know they are the problem.
I’m thankful for small blessings, I guess.

Do you want me to self quarantine for the rest of my life in order to make women feel safe?@johnrohde @QasimRashid there are multiple calls to action in the article. Step one get your head out of your ass and stop weighing in on the side of, "but I'm one of the good ones". Step two actually engage with the information you are presented with instead of making excuses.

@QasimRashid Men aren't safe around men either. You know that, right?
Also, men are more likely to die preventable violent deaths, be seriously injured by random violence, and die from preventable diseases.
Statistically men are in more danger than women, every day, all the time, from everything and you only need to look into an OAP home to see who is outliving whom.
In summary, feeling safe and being safe are not the same thing. Safety is not and can not be guaranteed for anyone, ever.
Diverting the topic from women, from the article. Nope . Not cool. @QasimRashid

>>Men aren't safe around men either. You know that, right?<<
So...you agree that men are the dangerous ones to be around?
>>Also, men are more likely to die preventable violent deaths, be seriously injured by random violence, and die from preventable diseases.<<
And why is that? Why are men the ones most likely to be in preventble violent situations? Why are men more likely to die by random violence? Why are men more likely to die from preventable diseases?
(These are also rhetorical questions, becaude the answer is Male Supremacy/Toxic Masculinity)
Anyways, maybe let women talk about the violence we experience at the hands of men (who, remember, you actively stated are dangerous to be around) without feeling the need to refocus the conversation on men being victims.

@Oafsalot @QasimRashid lol @ doing "I don't see color" for misogyny
-
@YKantRachelRead @QasimRashid Sorry What you Suffered, But You Only Met The Wrong Men
Every man saying "you only met the wrong man'" is really saying, "It's your fault your relationship was bad. I am alpha and the best thing to happen to women" Very toxic .

@QasimRashid
Another example of Qasim's pathetic engagement farming. The capitalist system, which he will never address, is inherently sexist and the hierarchy requires someone to be picked on who's considered lower on the pecking order. Women and minorities have conveniently always been in this catagory.
The USSR-Communist Russia-which everyone on mastodon vilifies with ignorant Russophobia, always considered women as equals and important. That's why the US goal has been to destroy Russia.@Timeless
oh my, thanks for the laugh. -
@QasimRashid I'm with you. What do we need to do?
@hoare_spitall @QasimRashid confront men when they do wrong!
