I have a dull practical boring thing to do today.

I must admit, I find most log photos look a bit staged, and the poor log itself is often awkward and reluctant to really express itself.
By going into its home setting, you've really put this one at ease and and captured its true logness. A masterpiece.
@Badgardener Thanks. Yeah, it seemed a bit wooden at first, but finally relaxed enough for a casual pose.

@rvedotrc I can't tell what that is - it's not showing any preview, so I haven't clicked. Am I missing out?
@CiaraNi It's a catchy song, "Stick!", from CBeebies "Hey Duggee"

@CiaraNi and yes it's worth at least one watch

@CiaraNi
I probaly caught on because over in B.C., my home province, log houses are popular, thankfully they are a more spacious and provide more shelter than this one.
@TrueNorthSpice This one has a sea view, though. The most expensive log-house real estate. I think this log is a member of the logigarchy.

@rvedotrc Oh my yes, that is ridiculously catchy. It'll be stuck in my head all day now. Thanks, and I don't think I mean that ironically, because I feel the world is better place with excellent silly songs in it.

@CiaraNi Stick!

I have a dull practical boring thing to do today. It will take a few hours. It will be satisfying when it’s done. I don’t want to do it. I’d better start procrastinating now or I won’t have time to put it off for long enough. Did I ever tell you about the time I saw a bird?
@CiaraNi Tell me if you need help with procrastinating!
Long live Saint Procrastina!

@CiaraNi I’m sure the dishwasher must need unloading.

@Nickiquote I did not know there was a log song. I am pleased to know this. When I saw the log house, I thought: So this is where the Log Lady lives. I wanted to add a photo of the Log Lady from Twin Peaks here, but to my surprise there is no photo of her on Wikimedia Commons and no photo at all of the actress on her Wikipedia page. This makes her even more curious to me.
There is a picture of her as the Log Lady on English Wikipedia:

Or that time I saw a log relaxing at home?
I know it's rude to brag, but today I completed a dull practical boring task that would normally take about two and a half hours in just under six hours.

@CiaraNi I'm so going to ruin your pride by doing the same thing, tomorrow.

Procrastination skills like that can't be taught. Takes years of training, that does. Learning the art of foostering about, not doing the thing.

Celebratory cake has been unlocked!
(Although... You'll have to procrastinate your way through buying or making it yourself

@CiaraNi Procrastishooting...I haven't heard that hashtag yet. The resting log is next level.

@CiaraNi Ah, come on, a little more non-effort and you could have sidelined it for the whole weekend.

@wolf We could make it a competition. The Procrastination Olympics. The winner is the loser, because they achieved something.
