I felt exhausted both mentally and physically due to a lot of stuff going on at work, bringing stress in my mind and body.I skipped 3 running sessions during the week, shortened 2 others, and shortened my long run today.
This is just what my body needs, I think.
But it isn't easy to accept.

@teufen bugger about the stress at work. You are right sometimes even if you want to, the body needs a bit of downtime, just annoying they are at the same time atm

@teufen I know how you feel or felt. But, you gotta listen to your subconscious, it knows what's going on internally better than we consciously know ourselves. I know that you, like myself will benefit from an extra little pause, even if consciously we're frustrated. A better week comes next. Have a great day

Not easy to accept - but likely easier than what would come your way if you did not listen to yourself. So you are definitely doing the right thing.

Well done for prioritising your recovery and well being!
I try to remember that recovery, sleep and relaxation is part of the preparation for further training. Even though it sometimes feels like the time during training is all that matters and the recovery/wellbeing outside those training sessions is useless.
