@petrillic if corporations are people then there needs to be jail (probably super severe fines like multiples of yearly revenue) and possibly the death penalty for corporations.

@petrillic The vast sense of power and self entitlement that comes almost invariably from huge wealth is also invariably pathologically indifferent to the concerns of others or the planet.
There should be constraints BY DEFAULT on any business growing above a certain threshold.

@energisch_ @petrillic Have a look at our current, right-wing government that cuts the income of municipalities, and then the impoverished municipality's elected representatives (in Kajaani, mostly agrarian centre+far right: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kajaani) go for anything that might give them quick cash.
Plus the agrarian centre party has always had a strong disdain for protecting the forests. So yeah. Neoliberalism and general "we can do whatever we please" going on.

@petrillic So who owned the forest? Did Google lawfully come into possession of the forest? Was the previous owner fairly paid? If the answer is yes than Google should be able to do what they want with their own property.
