@gelbphoenix nice, short and to the point. There are benefits to the layering introduced by ATproto (including nomadic identities and portable content), but they can be brought to the Fediverse without the centralization commanded by AT (see e.g. the nomadic protocol of Hubzilla and streams, or the Portable Objects FEP, see also <https://socialhub.activitypub.rocks/t/nomadic-identity-for-the-fediverse/2101/96>)
