They will always have their own websites, news agencies, television stations etc.That doesn't mean you have to help authoritarians spread their message on your network. The idea of the Fediverse is to give grassroots people control over what is permitted on their part of the network.

Servers can defederate mastodon.social (which is only about 20% of overall network), and many do that already.

@Sunny The best way would probably be to block the bridge domain, brid.gy. If you can find a post from bridgy you can go to its profile and then click "block bridgy".There aren't that many bridges, so blocking them is more effective.
