I believe that the right to free speech is a big thing in the US.

I’ve had to explain to very good pals that I didn’t have any connection to or sympathy for Israel, that my Judaism was entirely disconnected from Israel. it's really the same thing:
a blood feud
in the balkans and the levant
an endless cycle of violence
