All the posts and comments here on Mastodon calling for this, trust me we read them!@hpod16 @EUCommission That’s mildly interesting and all, and wish we could celebrate it. But considering the EU is fighting hard to invade everyone’s privacy by repeatedly trying to introduce Chat Control, age verification checks, and going after VPNs, being on Mastodon feels… Unimportant.
Doesn’t really matter the EU is no longer on X if they’re leaning despotic anyway. Unfortunately there’s no time to congratulate them on these small actions when we are forced to keep constantly fighting them on the fundamental human right to privacy.

Hey Hannah
why has the EU social media account determinedly ignored any questions raised about the EU's complicity in genocide, and the dismantling of European democracy and citizens rights in support of zionism?
is the intention for the social media accounts to be one-way broadcasts and not 2-way dialogue?
@allende1973 @hpod16 @EUCommission
Probably because it is in no way, shape or form the social media groups responsibility to answer that kind political questions.
As I see it, they can talk about what the commission does and projects being launched, but you can not expect them to respond to questions like that.
Seriously. Get real.
Those profound questions should go through your local representative or you address the politicians directly via email.

so it's a 1-way broadcast
are you confirming in an official capacity?

Such wonderful news! Let's pause for a second and enjoy this moment.
My hope is now that Ursula and Kaja will apply the "plus one" method and #fedifirst principle that @_elena explains in this video https://watch.2mr.social/w/k3ngQ8Xr3ANRXe6D8YGP4YWe had our Christmas miracle

Thank you again
, commission. Now let's get a midsummer blessing. -

@allende1973 @hpod16 @EUCommission
Uhhh - did I really say that? Hmm. You know, let's read it together and have a closer look.
OK, so I started with:
"Probably because it is in no way, shape or form the social media groups responsibility to answer that kind political questions."
Hmm. No, I don't see anything about a 1-way broadcast, just that I did not find it likely (the word "probably") that the social media group would be allowed to express political views here. In general, political decisions are expressed through policy, not in social media posts.
Let's read on:
"As I see it, they can talk about what the commission does and projects being launched, but you can not expect them to respond to questions like that."
Aha! Here I make it clear that this is my personal view, so this answers your second question: No, this is not an official EU policy. Still nothing about a 1-way broadcast, though.
"Seriously. Get real."
Disbelief. Personal, just to be clear.
"Those profound questions should go through your local representative or you address the politicians directly via email."
Again, simply a suggestion to use more suitable channels for your questions. We established above that this was a personal view. Still no 1-way channel here.
So, after a thorough read, the answers are "No" and "No". Clear?
