No, I'm not saying AI caused the wildfires in Canada. I'm not saying AI even contributed to making them worse. Current conditions were probably baked in by the choices we made decades ago.

What I am saying is that a wholesale embrace of AI and the concomitant data center buildout is doubling down on exactly what led to these conditions.

I'm sure YOU all get this, but I see this post is trending, so I know it's a matter of time before I get an indignant argument in my replies.
