Either way, it is not a new spin on an old promise. It is an illegal bribe that he will never deliver - "may not come to pass" is lame. It will not happen. He lies about this, gets what he wants and then denies he ever said it.

I think I'd rather have anti-trust laws, an independent FCC that doesn't threaten press freedoms, a post office that can deliver mail, and a CDC and FDA that stops food born illnesses more than $5,000.
