they are two day old accounts with no followers
and when i find them, i report them, and *poof*
bliss
my only sadness is when, such as yesterday, i hit submit, and i got "record not found"
because in the time between starting and ending my report, a mod had already taken care of them off of other people's reports
and so:
1. thank you #mods and #admins of the #fediverse
2. thank you fellow mastodonics for using that report button
One possibly underappreciated part of fedi is a much higher mod to user ratio than most social media because of the federated design and higher sense of ownership people feel for their instances

this has two terrible effects:
1. #moderation is a cost center for them. if you want to make money, you want to cut costs. therefore, it's cheaper for them to say "freeze peach!", decimate the #mod dept, and let #bigotry and #disinfo run wild
2. we say "don't feed the #trolls" but the unfortunate human baseline behavior is that controversy drives clicks, eyeballs, engagement. therefore, bigots and disinfo is *profitable*

Trump's a known fuckwit long before his venture into US politics, that he's the best the US can offer twice now says rather a lot imo.
The issue not so much what colour of lies your prefer on the telly, and more just the idea that 50% of the US are insta banned as fucktwits on the fediverse.
If that's the case then insgtabanning anyone pushing blue lies from the US administration might make this place a little more balanced.

If you look at the past few decades of warfare, financial corruption and stuff like the Epstein files it becomes rather clear it doesn't matter who is in charge: the wheels keep turning and they are fed on flesh and suffering.
