I could argue against this as being dependent on public transport makes you enslaved to the time-schedule.
Cars have use, a great one. It should be used, however, only when necessary.
I like public transport (Škoda 26 Tr, my beloved) but you can't just say cars are used by psychotic people.
Tired vehicles are contributing to climate crisis, mainly due to tires that combustion engines, and trains should be the mode for container transport, but, you sometimes need tired vehicle.

As for the mass shootings, consider the fact, that most of those shootings happen because those who were attacked had no weapons to protect themselves with.

I do not justify gun violence. If I would, I would be pushing for laws that restrict weapons as this enables criminals (which as you might guess do not really bother with crime) to attack lawful citizens.
I'm also not enjoying deaths by vehicles.

- one's education

People who can afford food and are educated have less incentive to do crime.

These argumentation faults are getting outta hand.
Few posts I've told you we should restrict mining oil for the purpose of burning it. (That's mostly transport and energy production.)
Oil is however a crucial backbone of a lot of industries. Manufactured rubber, medication, fertilizers, and so on.
Guess what is most of the oil used for? Just for burning it. That's what should be gradually banned, not oil, but this very stupid usage especially since we have alternatives
