Thanks for the eye thing, I got started with needle & thread about 5 I think, it didn't register until you mentioned it, but sometimes twiddling it helps.@AnguaDelphine I too started young.

The eye of a hand sewing needle is larger on one side, than the other.
If you have trouble threading your needle, try turning it around. 🪡🧵I can’t count how many times knowing this has been helpful!!
@BenitaSkinner I’ve been hand quilting for 30 years (and hand sewing for 50). I never knew this! Needle threading while quilting this afternoon was a breeze. Thank you!

@moniquenwerk For most brands, the end that is loose on the spool should be threaded through the eye, and the end that is cut should have the knot.
