@mehanix hey, I write a weekly blog covering independent music on equitable platforms, and I post a ton of electronic music in that and just in general

@oyasleepy yay thank you!!! itโs one of my favourite fanarts ever. if you know of games with a similar feeling Iโm all ears

ooh !! if it's the horrorish aspect you like, i personally quite like crow country! more closely related are games like mad father & witch's house, but those are very of the same era ib was a part of so i feel like you probably already know about em HAHA
omori might also be worth a shot, and ive heard oneshot is quite good, but departs from the horror-ish aspect of the rest of the recs! i havent had the time to play it myself yet so take that last one with a grain of salt
in a similar vein i have heard look outside is super good!venturing into way way More horror, there's fear & hunger and fear & hunger 2, which are both very very brutal and come with a lot (a lot!!) of content warnings, but have a very . earnest? genuine? feeling to both of them that i really like, personally ! i think f&h2 would be a better rec for an ib enjoyer if you do happen to look into them (& it is understandable without having played the first)
& this last one is a bit more of a shot in the dark but you may enjoy slay the princess

(and sorry if you've heard of all of these before!!)
-
@fangyy lots of stuff! to name drop some artists off the top of my head - savant, knower, infected mushroom, justice, priest, iamx... i'll have to think of more ... i also like more than just electronic, i have a hard time labeling things exactly lol. indie, alternative, experimental? breaking genre boundaries.
what music do you listen to?
@mehanix@hachyderm.io
Infected Mushroom โโ Haven't heard from them in Ages? They still active? Whoa!!!! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KcMMN2tRH48 Memories โ

That's how i remember them https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z6hL6fkJ1_k โโ

@mehanix Welcome to Mastidon, Nicoleta!

I hope you settle in well here, and find lots of interesting people. I'm afraid I'm at the opposite end of the continent, here in Dublin - however, one good tip to know about Mastodon is that hashtags are really important for finding people and topics.
For example - #computers #hacking #FOSS #OpenSource #art #music #games
You can then either browse posts, or you have the option to 'follow' the hashtag ao posts appear in your timeline.

@mehanix hi there! also new here and to microblogging in general, happy to report that you caught my eye and we have some common interests
so here's a bit about me:
โฃ fascinated by computers, the hacker/digital rights/free software movements moreso than the rest
โฃ a digital artist, still getting used to krita after a lifetime of traditional art; favoring character design and storytelling through composition and style atm
โฃ sadly not anywhere near you, but i'd be happy to stay in touch!

Welcome Nicoleta! There are lots of very interesting people here. You are responsible for finding your folks.
What I do is when someone posts something interesting, I tap on their avatar image left of their screen name at the top of their post and look at their profile page. If they seem like interesting people, I follow them. If someone turns out to be not who you thought, you can unfollow them later. Follow lots of people starting out.

@mehanix Hello! Greetings from Moldova! ~~my romanian sucks so I won't even try ~~
Depending on you, it could be really chill platform or very bustling. Following lots of interesting people and then muting or sorting them is way to manage how engaged you wish your home feed to be.Saw you discussing about horror games... I watched some play throughs but scared to play them... Have House and Count Lucanor to play someday...
Had discussion about Stardew valley and someone mentioned a psychological horror one which also notably has visual work done from Celeste. Game is called Neverway and has demo for now and release by the end of the year.There a lot of game diversity in my life mostly lots of different indies, but my hot topic is Arknights. Wanted something on phone with catgirls, came for catgirls stayed because of good gameplay and store and lore building.
Have fun and enjoy Fediverse
