but there is a larger war at play and democrats in power is better than #republicans in power for the sake of our objectives
what matters is acting strategically
and tom, while making mistakes before, is speaking words that agree with strategy over perfectionism now, today. that is what matters

It's not about perfection, it's about not installing democrats who will set us up for a worse, smarter, more capable Trump 2.0 in ten years time.
By trying to undermine leftward movement and pre-empt it as "perfection" you're doing the work of the fascists. You're trying to pull the brakes on the left during the most pivotal point in our nation's history.
Either neoliberalism must be brought to an end or democracy will be, that's the choice before us. There is no Third Way.
