Was just thinking about the birds being dinosaurs when we walked past a singing blackbird tonight.

But why is no one asking the important questions:

Did the dinosaurs who lived millions of years ago also have lovely singing voices?🎶 🦖

@BogWitch given their long necks and large chest cavities, most of them would probably be basses.

@BogWitch It's the time of year when our back yard is home to a ton of seagulls, and every morning at sunrise I'm started awake by what I'm sure is the screeching of pterosaurs. 🫩

@BogWitch There must be paleontologists out there who have wondered what dinosaurs actually sounded like.

@IbenChristiane @BogWitch I can't decide, if I would find the T-rex in Jurassic Park even scarier, if it sang like a black bird right before it chomps down instead of roaring 🤣

@nerdd @BogWitch it sounds a bit silly, but it seems so sinister if he was just sitting there chirping away only to show his giant grin and munch on some smaller animal (such as me).

@IbenChristiane @BogWitch Yeah, I am leaning toward that too. Maybe Spielberg thought that would be too terrifying after all.

I have seen a drawing of what looked like a large, round sparrow.

A second drawing revealed that this was a T rex with a fluffy coat of feathers that turned his outline into something like a sparrow.

@BogWitch crocodilians are not dinosaurs per se but I love the call of alligator bulls this time of year. it's both chilling and thrilling at the same time especially when there are several going at once.

Was just thinking about the birds being dinosaurs when we walked past a singing blackbird tonight.

But why is no one asking the important questions:

Did the dinosaurs who lived millions of years ago also have lovely singing voices?🎶 🦖
