@paninid I feel, that comes from a time, where there was some obvious positive reputation connected to a job. And you kept it for life. Most of that is gone - the reputation as well as the long perspektive.

@Reinald @paninid Yes, you used to have a decent life from your job alone, and provide for the whole family, and even own a house. But that was only the post-war era. Then oligarchs decided that they needed more money, and the working class would be the ones providing it. And here we are. ‍️

Control, indoctrination, conditioning, atrophying joy, exploration, individualised development etc. etc.

Also, in the cases when they do answer with a job, make sure the jobs that are most popular as answers are automated away and therefore unavailable by the time they grow up. Railway signalperson? Oh no no no, sweetie. Lighthouse keeper? Not a chance.
