hmmm. i enjoyed it. but, no, i don't believe i was comforted by it. it's a fiction after all.

@evan Yes, but in the same way as comfort food doesn't really nourish me afterwards. I rarely think hopeful thoughts inspired by the Star Wars universe.

@evan No but I did when I was a kid/20-something. Especially Empire Strikes Back → first act of Jedi. I just really loved Luke's transformation from kid trying to figure himself out to confident hero.

Alas, almost everything from the last act of Jedi to present day that has added to the cannon has made me like it less and less. And now I just don't care about it at all anymore.

@evan Comfort. Interesting choice. For me, while I enjoy pretty much all the Star Wars stories, thinking back to the pure joy and excitement of seeing the original in theaters way back in 8th grade does bring me great comfort.
