As far as I can fathom, it's a social media myth. Any differences between genders are slight either way, or non-existent as far as I've seen. The biggest differences seem to be between age groups, with older people generally being less lonely.

Serve ads on that content & profit. I've been alone for 6 years, no friends, no girlfriends, but I don't listen to any of those podcasters to "inspire" me. Idk. I just find it boring watching some guys & gals talk about life and some other stuff on the screen. I just listen to old music
I really don't fucking understand this objectifying women narrative cos I learned that women are humans deserving of equal respect.
Now other males being rivals, now we're just going back to prehistoric times.

I met some of these guys in the wild almost 20 years ago - this stuff isn't new, just more mainstream. Lonely boys and men, especially young ones get sucked in & believe it - it's sad. They're just looking for community and people with similar struggles. Often they have experienced a lot of social rejection as kids.I think before this crap was on the internet socially awkward people of all persuasions found each other through nerd interests but now they shut themselves away.
