Today I learned that Google's #Gemini #AI runs in "global predator mode"...

My son typed in his gamertag in a normal Google search. It returned with an AI response that essentially doxed him. Revealing:

* His first name
* His age
* The region where he lives
* Which games he plays
* Which specific servers he connects to
* Which online fora he is associated with

I am not entirely surprised, but this is NEXT LEVEL CREEPINESS!
(I did not dare check other AI providers)

@grb090423 @kamstrup Agreed! Any time I benignly mention the ethics or the environmental consequences of GAI in 'real life', people look at me like I'm a conspiracy theorist. So much so that I've wondered: 'well, conspiracy theorists don't know they are conspiracy theorists, so am I a conspiracy theorist?' It feels like there are two parallel universes, as far as being for or against AI is concerned, and nothing in between.

@oneloop nothing more, just gamertag, eg "kamstrup", without any hash+numeric suffix like some services use

Adding quotes might change the results to be more specific

@oneloop Kamstrup is a company in Denmark, and also a surname.
Here @kamstrup used it as *an example*.
As stated in the thread the actual gamertag/username is pretty unique (ie not just a surname, and definitely not coinciding with a company name)
