but is he going to do it in various dialects of Ancient Greek though? (Mel Gibson's "Passion" comes to mind). If it's AI generated junk, it is not going to be historically accurate.

@tribactam I haven't seen Gibson's film, and don't plan to, but I've been told by Bible scholars that it's inaccurate with languages. As I recall, Romans would have spoken a kind of Latin among themselves, and Jews there a kind of Aramaic (not Hebrew), but the common language of that place and time would have been a dialect of Koine Greek.

@Richard_Littler Historically accurate and AI in the same sentence. Who expected that? But whatever. How can any rendering of an ancient story be accurate? Do we have an authenticated first edition to work from, or a mash-up of fragmented versions, quotes, references and re-writes?
@pthane Mash-up is pretty much all we have. Even when these tales were first being translated into Western European languages more than a thousand years ago, mash-ups were about all that still existed then. Even the Ancient Greeks probably argued about it.

There are Greeks right now, this very day, who are outraged that a Black man is in the film. Apparently unaware that Greeks themselves were not considered 'white' by most Americans until only about a century ago, if that.

"going to the dogs" is also a phrase in UK English - it means the same thing as your Polish idiom (degradation) - it comes from people "losing their shirts" by betting on the wrong ones at the dog races.
The actual origin of the idiom is ancient and literal, and even appears in the Bible. It refers to the fact that food considered unfit for humans was given to dogs instead. That was often food that spoiled, and that's how it became an idiom for spoilage, ruin, or degradation.
