@swachter humanising bikes wasn’t something I’d ever considered. What about flags?

I haven’t tried flags, but I know a guy with a cargo bike who adds an American flag to his rig on the grounds that the people most likely to be assholes will instead do a “ah yes a fellow patriot beer and hotdogs god bless merica” and leave him unmolested. He claims it works!

@clive I had to drill a hole into the end caps but it was like a five minute process and well worth it.

I would believe that. Back when I was doing hiking trail maintenance it was well known that putting American flag stickers on the trail markers made them less likely to be destroyed.
