@DemocracyMattersALot @dexter its always worth reminding people, Land don't vote

This is another reason that we need electoral college reform

Every white holy asshole in those Welfare States is told by the white holy assholes they pray to vote for, to blame Black people first, then 'Mexicans' then homeless and so-on.
They're never gonna give-up trying to drown so people will notice them.

@johndgriffith @DemocracyMattersALot And that's the reason you won't get it, you would need the recipients to vote to disfranchise themselves.

@DemocracyMattersALot that doesn’t surprise me in the slightest, I am curious about the numbers and statistics though. Do you have sources we can look at for more information? Is there a credit to someone who made this graphic?

There was no source with this graphic. I like sources too. Would not have posted except that I've seen many studies over the years affirming this. Sorry!

@DemocracyMattersALot it was regular people protesting and forcing politicians hand. Not one of the two american cults

@DemocracyMattersALot you should rename your account from democracy matter to i am democrats defense league

@DemocracyMattersALot fair enough, my critical lens intensifies when stuff like that is missing, especially for graphics and images that could be AI generated

@kusuriya @DemocracyMattersALot Nor livestock.

@DemocracyMattersALot this is absurdly phrased. Red State agriculture literally feeds the nation. Make your point without misinformation?

13 of the top 20 on their dependency score lean red, with different ratios depending on if calculated by GDP or total value. New Mexico, a blue leaning state, tops the list of welfare states.
Even in sources that show a map of donor vs welfare states they're careful to use other colors to show the difference. The red vs blue coloring is pure propaganda.

@DemocracyMattersALot Note: The image included in this post may be AI-generated and has not been disclosed as such.
Indicators: Lines connecting New England states to their labels are irregular. Rhode Island is not listed as a state. Various state borders are irregular or misshapen. Typeface appears to be a generic AI Sans with minor inconsistencies.
Also note no source has been given for the data used to generate this image.

@DemocracyMattersALot I’m not sure about this. I have seen other maps showing that Maryland is a “welfare state” even though we are a Democratic state. We have lots of different things going on though.

United State of America, not America.
America is a continent, not a State. -

"California is the leading agricultural state in the U. S., significantly contributing to the nation’s food supply with over 400 different commodities. It produces approximately 43% of the nation’s fruits and nuts and more than 20% of its milk. The state is strategically located within a Mediterranean climate zone, enhancing its agricultural diversity. In 2022, California’s agricultural exports reached $23. 6 billion, up by 4. 4% from the previous year, with key exports like almonds and dairy driving this growth. Despite hosting only 4% of the nation’s farms, California generates over 10% of U. S. agricultural production value” -- https://garden-landscape.com/what-proportion-of-california-s-agricultural.html

@LevZadov @DemocracyMattersALot dietary calories come primarily from grain, and grain is grown primarily in red states. When you look at outliers, like grain production in California and Illinois, the calories are grown in the reddest parts of the state. You can fudge the numbers around but it doesn't make "red states would starve without the blue" less of a bizarre take. Red states, and red counties in blue/purple states, are agricultural powerhouses. Say "would go bankrupt" or w/e instead
