I dunno, man. Those “smears” sound pretty good to me – better in most cases than the actual policy.
@adamgreenfield Mythbusting is really an inefficient strategy because it plays on the opponent's field of play. "Don't think of an elephant" stuff.
-
@adamgreenfield Literally want the smears.
@quietmarc @adamgreenfield tbh framing our actual policy with spicy titles eg “abolish landlords” has been a fine move in terms of communicating them

It bothers me that, on a close reading, this handout has trouble distinguishing who it thinks “they” are – the Greens or their low dishonest opponents.

@adamgreenfield I'm here for the Smear Party

@adamgreenfield What do we call a party that delivers on the items in red here? The Red Party?

@adamgreenfield "Greens" LMFAO we talking about lettuce or policy? Seems like we're talking about lettuce because anything less than the "Smear" gets everyone further from actual progress. Whoever made this took a huge, truly gargantuan L.

@adamgreenfield The ramp up in anti-Green specifically tells me the establishment considers the movement a threat.

@adamgreenfield Yeah but antisemitism! And I see you didn't deny you will teach little kids to use crack pipes! /sarcasm

@adamgreenfield They are confused. Whoever they are.

I can imagine the kind of thinking that led to this poster…the kind of folks that spend meeting after meeting talking about their ‘theory of change’, rather than taking bold action.
I get that the Greens don’t want to frighten the horses (otherwise known as lining up to be target practice for the Daily Mail) but at the same time the assumption that their detractors are going to bother to take the time to even read the poster is sadly for the birds.

@adamgreenfield would vote and strike for those smears

@adamgreenfield
Unfortunately it's about the Default Ideology
of neoliberallism.The “Smears” are a perfectly rational and documented position, but the perceived societal costs of going to those positions is astronomical. Breaking traditions, leisure, feeling of security, food, etc. and combinations of those.
And changing opinions on those is equally hard.
Thus in the current societal climate opinions need to be changed very precisely.

I'm failing to see anything wrong with these smears.

@adamgreenfield if ending meat and daily from tortured and murdered animals is not an objective, it is not green enough. Just more conservatives sabotaging once again a party that could be an option

@adamgreenfield Man the smears sound great to me as well, but we gotta compromise with the normies or we will get flattened by the fascists.

@adamgreenfield I’m reminded of this (fake) Daily Mail front page.

@adamgreenfield wish the Australian #greens had this kind of grasp on communication.
