@kaiiak A.) yes if it worked, B.) it better have a curled up mode for the bus, because if you are elderly enough for this you probably aren't driving. And I would think this would be impossible with a car. Possible but weird with a bike, but if it helped enough for the elderly to ride, go for it.
The number of years between elderly enough to need a tail and too elderly to carry its weight? So like, 7 years? Nope, nobody is wearing this unless they really wanted to for none medical reasons.

@kaiiak If it comes with the complete velociraptor suit, absolutely.

It requires power which requires weight (batteries) which means it probably wouldn't actually be good for the elderly.
Also, inside a home, it would be constantly knocking things over.
But I'm wondering if runners could run faster if they could lean forward more ... which they could do if they had a tail.
Hello Olympics?

@kaiiak@madverse.city without hesitation, but for two reasons
1: tail
2: I could actually use this for its intended purpose and quit using a cane@kit

@kaiiak I’m nearly 70 and fell recently on a hiking trail upon tripping, bruising my shoulder and thigh, and possibly breaking a pinkie finger. I hike about 5 miles almost daily and fall once every couple of years. Although this recent fall hurt and shook me up, I would rather risk falling again than wear a tail. I have a walking stick and don’t even carry it because of the inconvenience, but I might reconsider it at some point.

@kaiiak Would! That thing is stylish. And I'd rather an extra appendage than a cane, if it actually helps.
