    "Palantir CEO Alex Karp thinks his AI technology will lessen the power of “highly educated, often female voters, who vote mostly Democrat” while increasing the power of working-class men.

    “This technology disrupts humanities-trained—largely Democratic—voters, and makes their economic power less. And increases the economic power of vocationally trained, working-class, often male, working-class voters....”

      @sonjdol
      Auch hier wieder "wenn wir es nicht tun, dann tun es unsere Gegner". Doch so allgemein stimmt das nicht.

      "Das Argument der US-KI-Firmen sei immer gewesen, „Aber China!“ Doch China halte seine KI-Firmen unter Kontrolle. «Keiner, der bei Sinnen ist, würde glauben, dass Xi Jinping es tolerieren würde, wenn eine chinesische KI-Firma etwas bauen würde, was die chinesische Regierung stürzen könnte», so Tegmark."

                @marcel @sonjdol Ich möchte anmerken, dass auch die US Regierung dies nicht tolerieren würde.

                Die Interessen der "AI" Branche und ihre sind jedoch sehr gut abgestimmt.

                Jegliche Form von Ablehnung - und sei sie noch so albern wie die von Anthropic - wird recht hart sanktioniert.

                Warum wir das in D/EU zulassen ist mir allerdings tatsächlich unklar.

                  @larsmb @marcel die Leute nehmen das Thema nicht ernst genug. Ich bin regelmäßig in Diskussionen mit Menschen, die das Problem nicht verstehen und ich bin dann einfach nur baff

                    @sonjdol

                    I know he thinks this implies a deep strategic win by the plutocratic class and its drive to reverse centuries of human progress but I have to say I don’t think he really knows much about how working class people of any educational tier actually think, and how they will vote. Sure you can pull a Trump or Brexit once or twice if you control the media. But inequality and repression eventually bite and then the working classes eat the rich, burn their palaces, and behead kings

                      @sonjdol Well, he's not fully saying the quiet parts out loud - that would be "taking power away from intelligent women & giving it to stupid men", because that's how they see the working class dudes The Right™️ has made a carreer out of pretending to fight for...
