    You must ask for consent before you collect someone's information or do something to them.

    Informing them after the fact, then offering them to delete the information, isn't respecting consent. And in many cases, isn't legal either.

      Informing them after the fact, then offering them to delete the information, isn't respecting consent. And in many cases, isn't legal either.

              @Em0nM4stodon I've contacted a few data brokers, asking a) how much they have made from scraping my data, and b) asking for my cut of the money they make off my data, and c) asking them to delete any data of mine they hold.
              I'm still waiting for either a response, or some money to hit my bank account.
              And I'm not going to hold my brath.
              I'm also wondering how many of these data removal companies (Incogni, etc) are owned by or aligned withthe big data bokers.
