Another question re pixelfed: I appreciate to know where a photo was taken. Therefore I, too, always add that information to my pictures. Bothe in the description and in the 'Location' field in the form to create the post.
BUT: I am not able to enter places myself. Either I find the town/village or I cannot specify where the picture was taken.
How can I add my own (thorougly spell checked) locations? -

How can I add my own (thorougly spell checked) locations?As far as I know you have to use the search system rather than entering this manually.
There's already an open issue for this on the Pixelfed Github page so the developers are aware of the problem. I don't know what their plans are about this though.
