Please share and spread, would like to know if anyone else has been seeing this.
I created a hashtag for badpics of food.
Now there's some bot out there autosharing any posts with the tag in it.
Had this happen to 2 of my tags in the last 10 mins.
Anyone else getting this from bots on the tags.pub instance?
Both accounts created today, both autobots sharing my posts.
Do I just block the instance... will that stop it from seeing and being able to share my posts?
#FediTips any input on this?
Same for @theropologist on the beige instance.

According to tags.pub's website you can stop it sharing your posts by blocking the domain tags.pub or by including #NoBots in your profile.
It seems to be a site boosting posts with particular hashtags to increase their reach, but it operates on an opt-out basis which means people are taken by surprise when their posts are boosted by it. It should probably be using opt-in instead so that only people who want extra reach are boosted.
