@rom255 The Houthis were much less effective at closing their Strait than the Iranians have already proven to be, but caused pretty large economic ripples as war risk insurance skyrocketed and a lot of ships of certain classes rerouted around, paying large fuel bills for safety and less insurance costs.
The Houthis managed to board several disabled vessels and sink them with charges. The Iranians are striking ships far more effectively directly and burning them out.

@rom255 Well, this rubbish known as Capitalism has to end eventually, one way or another. Socialist revolutions didn't manage to bring it down, only to suspend it for a while in a few countries, so maybe total collapse of the world economy is the only way.
