We have a weasel in the woodpile!!!

[alexhaist@wandering.shop]

@handmade_ghost I had not read that before. Freedom of necessity. Fascinating concept.

[alexhaist@wandering.shop]

@MargaretSefton I hope they stay.

[elaterite@mastoart.social]

@alexhaist ...and you have no insects, spiders, mice, or rats in that woodpile, nice!

[handmade_ghost@sunny.garden]

@alexhaist Yes, exactly. I'm never quite comfortable with Annie Dillard's "we," but I love her account of her encounter and the blanked tapes of the mind, etc.

[laszlo@digitalcourage.social]

@alexhaist I love them.

[idzie@kolektiva.social]

@alexhaist tiny zippy friend!!!

[johnshirley_2027@mastodon.social]

@alexhaist It' Stephen Miller

[thehag@bog.fan]

@alexhaist Slinky Floof Noodle!!!

[alisynthesis@io.waxandleather.com]

@alexhaist jealous! My woodpile only has boring mice.

[jerzone@techhub.social]

@alexhaist That's exactly how people's fingers look when I try to draw. Thanks for the support, Weasel!

[idzie@kolektiva.social]

@alexhaist @handmade_ghost now I have also read that essay, and am glad I did. Thank you!

[helenclayton@mas.to]

@alexhaist squee!

@alexhaist@wandering.shop @coppercauldronart@sunny.garden

[alexhaist@wandering.shop]

@JohnShirley_2027 please don't insult my weasel

[alexhaist@wandering.shop]

@elaterite I saw a chipmunk in there in the same ten minutes. I'm thinking I may have interrupted a nature documentary moment.

[elaterite@mastoart.social]

@alexhaist Well, Chipmunk better high-tail it out of there!

[catselbow@fosstodon.org]

@alexhaist

Are you sure it isn't five different weasels?

[spiegelmama@infosec.exchange]

@jerzone Hahaha, that was honestly my thought, too! Hands are difficult.
@alexhaist

@alexhaist
You're the cream in my coffee
You're the salt in my stew
You will always be my necessity
I'd be lost without you

You're the starch in my collar
You're the lace in my shoe
You’re the weasel in my woodpile
I'd be lost without you

@alexhaist What an absolute darling. You're so lucky! I hope they stay. ️️️
