@b9AcE No surprise here. Trump already said a few months ago that he disliked Spain's attitude. Indeed, Spain is one of the very few EU countries where masses protesting against the genocide in Gaza aren't treated as terrorists, and where the government, clearly opposing Israel's actions, does not bow to the USA's pressure over NATO or lick the shoes of the orange pedo-criminal bully, like France & other European fascists or extreme-centrists cowards do. When one think about it, most of US's products aren't essential; and although being cut-off payment networks like VISA/MasterCard could be an issue, Spain has a quantum computer and regarding truly essentials: this nation produces so much fruit, fishes, meat & vegetables that it exports most to other nations; Spain's power grid is implemented through renewables such as wind & solar power and although not perfect, Spain is even exemplary regarding fostering equal rights for women and ITQBLG individuals; so it is treated as a 'bad player' by the Trump regime and sadly, neo-Francoists will endlessly try to win the votes, certainly aided by US cloud-capitalists, white-supremachists techno-feudal lords through a-social medias, AI slop and cultural dumbing-down of the youth essentially; yet for the time being, I'll say: Viva España; and even more Visca Catalunya!

@MixMistressAlice Yeah, it is extremely frustrating, to still put it mildly, to keep seeing how the Trump Gang keep doing economic and political attacks against the people in Europe and elsewhere, so in response ruling politicians in EU for example in response to like a 20% attack make public declarations of how that is unacceptable, now they'll form a united front to defend in solidarity and start building independent resilience in various ways and they'll never... and then someone of that group goes on a trip to Trump or even just a phone call so after that the person proudly declares that this person got a special agreement so that the attack will be scaled down to just 15% only just for whomever that person is claimed to represent so they abandon the claimed the united front and then the others one by one drop off too, to instead end up with even more concessions, so then the Trump Gang seeing this reward for extortion and assaults of course just comes back like a month or two later and does it again, and each time there is some spineless shit politician who decides that "no, WE are SPECIAL" and begin the capitulation, while others like von der Leyen and Rutte seem to be actively broadly just working against the people in EU/NATO by cheerleading and lobbying for expanding this self-harm.

@Gurre Well, yes. Erdoğan's Turkey is an unofficial ally of Khamenei (and now post-Khamenei) Iran, since before Erdoğan too.
During tranquil times Erdoğan sometimes publicly postures as if the opposite, probably mostly to get to remain active in NATO and to keep the EU-candidate status, but there is a long history of e.g. joint military operations by the militaries of Turkey, Iran, and before the civil war also Assadist Syria against minority people and opposition groups, such as one military doing army assault against an exile opposition party camp (including refugee camp) and at the same time the air force of another attacking the same.
Turkey's border guards also while the world isn't looking so closely does commit gross human rights violations to keep people trapped in Iran, strengthening the regime, by e.g. sniper shooting refugees, trapping refugees near the border to then send them back, or deporting dissidents who fled after actual torture back to Iran.

Authoritarians want authoritarian neighbors,
so the people won't catch any freedom ideas.

The "inconsistent" here being used as a weasel word, to avoid having to say the commonly clearly understood phrase "a violation of international law".

Extremely probably so.

Keep in mind Canada's direct land border neighbor Denmark is under threat of conquest invasion by Trump, and Canada itself has come under repeated attacks of various severe econopolitical kinds for the purpose of the annexation as "51st state", while whimsical Trump has said to not consider armed force for that so far.
Maybe Carney should be among the most vocal worldwide about preserving the protection against crimes against peace as committed by Trump and Putin.

The NCO’s complaint was filed on behalf of 15 troops, including 11 Christians, one Muslim person and one Jewish person.
