@GossiTheDog My ideal position is basically "the grunt that knows shit." I have absolutely zero desire for a management position, and I'd happily spend the rest of my career continuing to do frontline "grunt work" because that's the fun part of work to me. Anything else is just so absolutely soul-suckingly horrible to me that I'd rather move to Hell, Michigan and take up chicken farming.

@GossiTheDog As has been said by smarter people than me... this AI-based company is a wet dream of the lowIQ managerial class: they want a workforce that won't tell them, "That request will cost you X weeks of schedule - what should we postpone?" or "No, that's impossible", or even worse, "No, that's stupid."

@GossiTheDog an individual 27yo smoking because it's cool for five years is statistically going to die from another cause. This framing makes it seem like they're irradiating themselves on the premise they'll cure cancer in a year. These people are upping their risk of cancers by net 0.1% over a lifetime and this coverage is playing into them thinking it's badass.
