The Norwegian Consumer Council hate enshittification and they're using humour to fight it.
@newslab.no @dbattistella that's #crapitalism 101

> EnshittificationOr, I don't use the word that way. I use it when something on the Internet just doesn't work correctly.
Like when I want to purchase something and I can't create an account.

> Norwegian Consumer Council hate enshittification and they're using humour to fight it.I would rather see European country Consumer Council(s) to impose 10% turnover penalty on any enshittificator. This video feels to me like a desperate cry of powerlessness.

@dbattistella , there is a link in the video, to https://forbrukerradet.no/shortlife/ . If I understand correctly, they are a commercial company and they made the video, right?
@vazhnov @dbattistella No. A Consumer Council is a public organisation.

@newslab.no @dbattistella Huh, I thought that Danes were the only Scandinavians with a sense of humor; so much for stereotypes.

@newslab.no @dbattistella That was pretty funny. I wonder if anyone else noticed the irony that it's a "vertical video" meant to be played on cell phone screens (both awkward and short lived/replaced quicker than normal screens) instead of normal video that makes sense on normal screens.
I feel a little ashamed of having watched it since I try to NEVER click on ANY of these vertical videos -- they're like "tik tok" or "shorts" and I just won't ever do those.

@newslab.no Hey, Look, there's a non-enshitified version of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d6SPV4GZp-U Normal width, meant for normal screens, not the awkward frustrating disposable pocket sized ones.
