BTW she ended up asking IT support & they didn't know WTF was up either - also, crucially, they had no idea how to prevent it from happening again, or that whatever voodoo remedy they did this time would work then.

Just another indicator of how broken enshittified tech is: If you search using more than a single term, the number of results changes significantly with each page reload - which tells you there isn't a proper index & the engine is basically guessing.
