@ReggieHere Oh, the comfort of doing business as usual. Considering the price tags on running Windows environments - of which the licensing is just one part, albeit a big one - there's ample funds for retraining etc.; the economy just doesn't add up. The responsibility math, however, does; nobody was ever fired or blamed for choosing Microsoft, no matter what costs (direct & indirect) are incurred. Meanwhile, switch to Linux & suddenly every second of time spent wrangling OS & apps matter...

@whybird That's what I would have normally thought, but at this point I'd feel like a dupe if I didn't assume the worst. Also, I just checked - it's a 20W charger & the cable came with the phone.

@jwcph Exactly right. Corporate greed is pushing folks who went legit decades ago back to piracy. Does Disney *really* believe ESPN content is worth $35 per month? There is no way Comcast is paying them that much in carriage fees.

@Pepijn @juliette almost all electric kettles we buy break within the 2 year warranty period, so I've taken to just saving the receipt and getting a refund whenever it happens. Three times so far.It's part planned obsolescence and part the extremely hard water in these parts, I think.Taking suggestions for a good electric kettle which makes it unnecessary, though.
