However, if you just want to schedule your Mastodon posts you don't need to use commercial services. Mastodon has its own built-in free open scheduling system available through third party apps (more info at https://fedi.tips/scheduling-posts-on-mastodon).

@FediTips I'm still confused why this is still predominantly only available in third party apps if it's actually built in to Mastodon and not, say, the apps themselves. I assumed the last time I heard of it it was just a matter of it rolling out, but it still seems to not be out there for anyone who doesn't want to use an app.

It is weird, but I guess it's just that the Mastodon developers have very limited resources and other features have taken priority?
