@jwcph I did a laptop migration to Linux Mint for somebody in November, and they had a lot of files "in outlook". Turned out to be OD, but the "free tier". Was totally unable to download the files to local media - it seems the free OD "doesn't allow downloading", by virtue of not providing the system service that allows downloading. Best I could determine was that you need to upgrade to the cheap tier to get your files out, or go through copying and pasting the contents into LibreOffice or similar. Fortunately for me, I found out that the bundled "free" Office 365, including Outlook and OneDrive still work ok on Firefox on Linux. I suspect if I had dug deeper, I might have been able to come up with a download solution, but I'd already spent WAAY too long on it, and was getting super stressed about it, so was pleased to find an out. But fuck, talk about holding your data hostage!

@jwcph @pluralistic I remember the day that I lost all believe in Microsoft ability to produce software. It was the day that I uninstalled OneDrive. In process of deinstallation it removed all the files in "My Documents". It seems like I misinterpreted who this "My" referred to.
