I wonder, given #RobertPrevost’s many years spent in #SouthAmerica, if the choice was related at all to the current cruelty of Trump’s #immigration policies & #deportations of #LatinAmericans.Notable that after #Pope #LeoXIV gave his remarks in Italian he spoke in #Spanish, but the Chicago born #American did not speak in English.
