      @occult Was it possible to see from the video what the password was?

      Also, how is it possible to use a touch screen with hose gloves on?

        @occult It's fine. They change the password each time we go to the moon.

                @occult it is a 4 digit one...

                If I am informed correctly:

                The tablet that is used is specific for that mission and the pin is only used to prevent accidental activation.

                But still:

                4DIGITS!!! Clear in view!! 3939? Anybody? Could be a new number code in the nerd world

                  That's hilarious. Luckily that tablet will be one of the most inaccesable items ever, soon.

                      @rationalgarde @occult What I don’t understand: there is *zero* risk of any third party getting access to such hardware like Jeremy‘s tablet while they are in flight. In goddess‘ name, switch the access control off, NASA!

                          @zeroday @occult

                          Given the suits and gloves they're wearing, the main criterion was probably "a number/pattern that's easily reachable with the right hand without having to move the arm, and that involves a repeated back and forth movement to prevent accidental activation by swiping".

                                What is there to protect and against what threat?

                                @jaddy @occult Against accidental inputs. When you're attached to that seat for hours or float around in micro gravity, you wouldn't want to turn on your tablet without noticing.

                                Us seeing the code isn't a big deal. If anyone ever gets physical access to that tablet, NASA has other problems.

                                    @Nerde @occult respectfully, it's not. if you look at the picture, it's just due to a weird angle, and you can also see the smidgen of the thumb appear briefly.

                                          Watching the livestream of the Artemis II launch, I just witnessed one of the astronauts type in the password on their tablet while sitting in the capsule on camera.

                                          @occult This is what your sound guys, vague term are for. Whoever's in charge of the stream is supposed to have a finger on a button obscuring sensitive information. The mute / black the screen or however you want to do it for two seconds button. If it was one person doing the whole thing I could maybe understand not having organized everything on time (I once changed a password because I had to type it into a stream to make the stream work and it was my piss poor planning), but, it's obviously not, because there's no way in hell that could be so. That poor person, either not thinking of it or hoping someone else had it handled BECAUSE THEY SHOULD! is my first thought.
