@Barbramon1 @Clutha Exactly! Opponents of wind power cite bird deaths, but a thousand times more birds are killed by house cats. And a similar huge number die from striking building windows.
So while I’m all in favour of any way to mitigate bird deaths, those who cite these deaths as a reason to oppose wind power are being disingenuous.

@clickhere @Clutha I found the US figure of approximately one billion deaths with a simple search. There seems to be plenty of evidence from many sources. I have been reading about it for 20 years or more.
I have kept my cats indoors since the 80s to protect them. Saving birds is a big dividend.@clickhere @Clutha
