Remember how I've said several times that GitHub is awful?

@jwcph Issues as in you have a question or as in reporting a bug? For questions forums for the distribution are good. @GreenSkyOverMe Well, I haven't found any of those, but this wasn't for the distribution - I had a Yabridge problem. Seem to have solved it now, thanks to a deep search of the Discord support channel Now I just wish I had a place to put it so other users with the same problem could find it...

I guess you have to write a blog … They don’t seem to have a wiki, either. I guess you have to write a blog …

I guess you have to write a blog …@GreenSkyOverMe I've seriously been considering if I should do something like that - I mean, I complain endlessly that it's hard for me to find tips & experiences from other non-techie users, the least I could do is share my own

Remember how I've said several times that GitHub is awful? Well, as a testament that I am, in fact, making an effort, I just tried to create an account there, because it seems to be the only place to look for help for some of my #SwitchToLinux issues. Yeah, that failed. Just can't create an account. Because GitHub fucking sucks. You computer toucher types are making it SO HARD! for the rest of us to not hate you. @jwcph You know that GitHub was bought by Microsoft, right?

@jwcph You know that GitHub was bought by Microsoft, right? @cstross I now nothing about it except that I never want to go near it again if I can help it. Probably not even then.

@jwcph Codeberg? @RawryCore Well, I can't very well look for answers there if they're actually on GH, now can I...?

@RawryCore Well, I can't very well look for answers there if they're actually on GH, now can I...? @jwcph True. Sry may have misunderstood you. Well, it‘s a „publisher“ thing. I advise against Linux that is not compliant with your „ethics“?
If they single source from GH, it‘s their thing right?
There are multiple other Repos using not so sellout git (with online server) gitlab/codeberg
Some projects have their own git site.GH is more for devs, than community support.
Community will hopefully pass your thing as Issue with proper user story etc.
But if it‘s just an understanding point and no real issue, a quick chat is more.. reliable?
I‘m glad discord chat was able to support you

I‘m glad discord chat was able to support you @RawryCore this was kind of a niche thing - just one element in a chain of functionality. With literally thousands of those, picking an OS fully for ethics across all of them is unfortunately impossible. I am, in fact, trying to choose the OS itself responsibly.
