Also, they are, in fact, idiots, but yes, they're manipulative, bitter nerds trying to get even with a world that refuses to treat them better than they ever deserved.
Remember, Bezos the Nerd was never a nice guy. He was always Bezos the fascist. They didn't change into what they are - they just became powerful enough not to hide it.
