June 7th, 1905, Norway gains its #independence from Sweden – because we said so, the Swedes even called it "a coup".
The following referendum didn't ask if Norwegians WANTED to gain independence, it asked if they agreed with the already done dissolution of the union. #Bergen, of course, celebrated.
