My Linux Mint laptop strangely goes black screen for a few seconds every few minutes. I can sometimes still move the cursor but everything seems frozen. I've tried searching for this problem, but haven't been able to find a description that fits my bill. The problem seems to come out of the blue, then goes away for a while, then comes back. Any advice?

test the 6.8er LTS #linuxmint / ubuntu kernel line. -

Check power settings for sleep maybe?@avlcharlie Nothing unusual there (should be inactive at least 15 minutes and it happens while I am being active). Also the screen is not totally blank - for example, the cursor is still there and sometimes part of the bottom panel.
