    HJÄLP! Någon kunnig i fysik som kan få mig att förstå detta? Jag läste visserligen natur på gymnasiet för 30 år sedan, men fattar ändå inte hur båda dessa stycken kan vara sanna (dotterns fysik i årskurs 9).
    Vindar som rör sig söderut på södra halvklotet ska, enligt första bilden, vika av mot höger, men enligt andra bilden vika av mot vänster. Vad är det jag missar?

        Not even going to attempt this one in swedish, but I think the confusion may come from the text which is indeed very confusing because they insist on right and left, so the frame of reference, but then it depends if you are facing the north pole or south pole which is right and left. (at least that's how I am reading the text - my swedish understanding is imperfect).
        The westerly winds (that is winds that move generally from west to east) are an important feature in both northern and southern hemisphere. The coriolis force however does make cyclones rotate in different directions in the northern and southern hemisphere and I wonder if this si what teh text is referring to.

            @nichni @jeppe @Ruth_Mottram Great! Thanks! As far as I understand, the first picture is actually wrong. Too bad the educational book is spreading fake facts, but I am happy to see that I still have the ability to spot errors in texts.
