In physics, curved spacetime is the mathematical model in which, with Einstein's theory of general relativity, gravity naturally arises, as opposed to being described as a fundamental force in Newton's static Euclidean reference frame. Objects move along geodesics—curved paths determined by the local geometry of spacetime—rather than being influenced directly by distant bodies.

@catsalad That orange cat is so large, it has other, smaller orange cats in close orbit around it.

@catsalad Y saw the same photo, but with another cat and other tile color... Is this a meme or something (?) I am curious now on finding its origin.

@notaname @catsalad There are a few curved bricks—notably the back edge of the right-hand one just in front of the cat. I like the joke, but I don't believe the picture.

@catsalad If bodies are non-distant and look/smell like a treat, objects move as well. I know the science

@notaname @catsalad I'm curious too now. The cat doesn't match the tiles—the cat it's sharp at the front and becomes out of focus as we move towards the back, but the tiles at that distance are still in focus. As though different camera settings were used, or different lenses even.

I wonder if one picture is an attempt at a more realistic version of the other? "Make the cat look more round and heavy, and make the tiles sag more" or whatever?
