Trans rights are human rights.

(And that Amnesty UK's posting closes their bowing to the Death Eater with an othering phrasing is ... well.)

@Natasha_Jay Amnesty may have felt that particular paper was difficult to defend in court, and they were facing lawsuits from multiple organizations with billionaire backing.

I am not jumping to conclusions about their wider position yet.

I think more significantly, GLP has started proceedings with the Charities Commission against Sex Matters for promoting hate and undermining rights.

I think vague and possibly poorly researched policy papers are risky for ally organizations, but going after the hate groups with specific allegations is better.

We are seeing LGBTQ organizations and media in the UK become LG(B) organizations already. Yes you Stonewall, yes you Pink News etc

@Natasha_Jay didn't the leader (or some high-ranking official at least) in Amnesty make a comment basically criticizing Ukraine for the fact that their cities were in the way of Russian missile strikes, a few years ago?

I would have lost faith in the organization after this if I still had any faith left to lose.
