Ok #Android peeps. This is my first day as an Android user. I'm attempting to switch from Apple. We will see.
There are so many differences. Somethings are a ton better:
- More than one app store. Anything I can install from F-Droid I do.
- Location services can be turned on/off with a single tap. I keep it off 99% of the time and turn it on for like driving somewhere
- I have physical buttons (on the Titan2 so I have a Back button that works all over the place. Super useful. I have a Home button, and an App Switcher button.
A few things are driving me crazy:
- iPhones have a physical silence switch. All it does is cut the audio notification. Everything still buzzes but nothing makes sound. This is how my iphone is 99.9% of the time. I cannot figure out how to replicate this on Android.
- Android has a more explicit "this app is running" mentality. Apple hides a lot of details about what is running in the background. While I like this in theory, it's annoying to get set up to start with.

@paco You're going to find that a lot of things take fewer clicks & taps. Having recently switched the opposite way (started new job in March & they gave me an iPhone) I'm still annoyed almost daily at how click-deep almost everything is in iOS...
