It seems like we've placed ourselves in a situation where we simply cannot trust digital tech enough to use it for things as mission-critical as infrastructure.
Bascially, before we commit (again) to fundamentally digitalizing essential services etc., we have to untangle IT from the broligarchy & find out how to keep it that way.
It just isn't feasible that societal infrastructure can get rug-pulled by a single arbitrary business decision anywhere in the value chain.

The only companies that do active security updates are Tesla and Rivian. On my Tesla I've seen over the air updates that were only for security. -
